Livable Lyndale Bike Rally & Ride
This Bike Month, help us keep up the pressure for curb-level bike lanes, full-day bus lanes, and spacious sidewalks on Lyndale Avenue South—and have some fun while we’re at it!
Join Move Minnesota—and co-hosts Bike MN, Joyful Riders Club and Slow Roll—for a Livable Lyndale bike ride and rally on May 29 to raise awareness and show Hennepin County we support dedicated space for both bus lanes and bike lanes on Lyndale!
Whether we walk, roll, bike, or bus, we all want to feel safe and included on our community streets. That’s why Move Minnesota and our Minneapolis volunteer team are working to get Lyndale Avenue South redesigned with people in mind. But we need your help this spring to influence Hennepin County’s plans for a once-in-a-generation Lyndale reconstruction.
Join us on May 29 to show support for a Livable Lyndale! We’ll meet at the tennis courts at Painter Park for a rally with inspiring speakers and pump up music, followed by a group bike ride of the Lyndale reconstruction route. We will end the night with a social to celebrate and connect!
Supporters are welcome to join for the rally, the group bike ride, or both! Come out to show Hennepin County you want dedicated bus lanes and bike lanes on Lyndale and help us create a more welcoming street where neighbors and visitors can enjoy, businesses can thrive, and all of us can get around.
If you plan to ride with us: Please note we will be riding next to traffic. Please arrive early with your bike to allow time to sign a ride waiver. If you have any questions, please email Senior Community Organizer Julie Johnson at juliej@movemn.org.
